Tournament Schedule

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23

11 a.m.–12 p.m. COMPLIMENTARY JUNIOR CLINIC: Open forum with top golf instructors from across the state. Come hear the experts discuss junior golf topics, answer questions, and give advice to young golfers in our area.
12:15 p.m. DRAWING FOR PROS: A blind draw is held to match our tournament pros with their teams for Monday’s tournament. Team/Pro matches are displayed at the pre-tournament social event and Calcutta prior to bidding on Sunday evening.
12:30 p.m. THE BILL AYERS SHOOT OUT: Our golf event kicks off with The Bill Ayers Shoot Out featuring Georgia’s top PGA pros, and players will be eliminated on each hole until only one remains. The competitive spirit among our pros makes this a fun and good-natured challenge until the last shot is made!
6:30 p.m. PRE-TOURNAMENT SOCIAL AND CALCUTTA AUCTION: Our casual, pre-tournament social includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and cocktails followed by a lively Calcutta auction. Come enjoy the camaraderie and bidding competition. All sponsors are invited to attend. Anyone present is eligible to enter into the Calcutta bidding for teams.

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 24

7:30–8:45 a.m. REGISTRATION AND BREAKFAST FOR PROS AND PLAYERS: Players will receive their tee prizes upon registration.
9:20 a.m. AROUND THE WORLD PUTT (18th GREEN): Each tournament player ($20 cash registration) will gather in a circle around the #18 green. Players each hit a putt at the same time toward the hole in the middle of the green. The player whose ball goes in the hole wins half the prize money; the other half benefits West Georgia Hospice!
9:30 a.m. TOURNAMENT BEGINS – SHOTGUN START.

HOLE IN ONE: All players are eligible to win a grand prize for a qualifying HOLE IN ONE shot on the 17th green!

2 p.m. (approximately) ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNERS/LUNCH: Prizes are awarded to top-placing teams; Calcutta winnings are disbursed.

Since 1996, the ELY CALLAWAY GOLF EVENT has been one of the most eagerly anticipated tournaments of the year! Fierce competition, generous prizes, and a PGA tour or club professional on each team make this the tournament that golfers choose to play.

The golf event is two days of fun and fellowship for an excellent cause – WEST GEORGIA HOSPICE. The golf event has raised more than $1,000,000 in support of West Georgia Hospice and its patients. We are planning our most successful tournament to date, so please make
plans to be a part of this exciting event!

Sponsorship opportunities are available for businesses, groups, and individuals as described below:

SPONSOR – $3,000 (4 players)
As a sponsor, your team of four plays with a PGA tour or club professional who captains your team. In addition, you are:
• Recognized as a tournament Sponsor in signage and in our program (your company logo can be displayed)
• Invited to attend the pre-tournament social event and Calcutta on Sunday evening
• Provided complimentary breakfast and lunch on tournament day
• Each team player receives generous tee prizes

CO-SPONSOR – $1,500 (2 players)
As a co-sponsor, your team of two is paired with another co-sponsoring team and plays with a PGA tour or club professional who captains your team. In addition, you are:
• Recognized as a tournament co-sponsor in signage and in our program (your company logo can be displayed)
• Invited to Sunday evening’s pre-tournament social event and Calcutta
• Provided complimentary breakfast and lunch on tournament day
• Each team player receives generous tee prizes

PATRON – $1,000
As a patron, you or your company will be:
• Recognized as a patron sponsor in signage and in our program
• Invited to Sunday’s pre-tournament social event and Calcutta

TENT SPONSOR* – $500 / $1,000
Tent sponsorships are available on each hole. These sponsors provide snacks and/or drinks to event participants underneath their company
tent. It’s an excellent opportunity to promote your business while saying THANK YOU to West Georgia Hospice! Two options are available:
Option 1 ($500) – Tent sponsorship as an add-on to a team sponsorship (either Sponsor or Co-Sponsor)
Option 2 ($1,000) – Tent sponsorship only (no team)

Food may be coordinated for a fee through Highland Country Club, or Tent Sponsors may provide their own food items or drinks for event
participants. Tent sponsors are also:
• Recognized as a tent sponsor on signage and in our program
• Invited to Sunday’s pre-tournament social event and Calcutta

TEE SPONSOR – $200
Tee sponsorships are available on each hole for individuals, groups, or businesses with an 18” x 24” sign displaying your name or company
name. Tee Sponsors are also:
• Recognized as a tee sponsor in our program
• Invited to Sunday’s pre-tournament social event and Calcutta

All team players receive a gift package, and special prizes are awarded to the top teams.
*A substantial portion of your sponsorship fee will qualify as a charitable contribution.Each sponsor will receive a letter specifying the amount following the event.
